well as the “Big” Losers. On site child care will be available free of charge for children up to 12 years old.
In June 2008 the RC Family Resource Center opened its doors with the goal of being a premiere spot for non-profit, social service groups to provide aid to the community. Since its Grand opening, over 20,000 individuals have benefited from a wide variety of workshops, referrals, counseling and general information. “The RC Family Resource Center has definitely made its mark on the community,” says Tiffany Starks, Community Services Program Specialist. “Whether it is on the phone or in person, community members can receive information on almost any social service from emergency food and clothing to legal assistance, domestic violence counseling to parenting classes. With the assistance of our non-profit partner agencies, the possibilities are endless to the things that we can do here.”
TRAC (Teen Recreation Activity Club) is a unique and innovative teen volunteer club that plans and implements volunteer projects, special projects and events for teens in the community. TRAC encourages teens to get involved and make a difference in their community by serving others while learning job training and developing social and leadership skills along the way. Teens actively participate in monthly meetings, leadership conferences and special projects that include senior visits, beach clean ups, letters to active military personnel, collect food for the needy and assist at all City wide events and projects. Since its creation in 1989, TRAC has donated 63,335 hours of community service and has supported projects such as Ronald McDonald House to support families with seriously ill/injured children and Project Linus which serves families in need.

Miguel Armendarez, Community Services Coordinator is extremely excited about the upcoming fundraiser. “Not only will this event bring the community together for a fun filled evening that’s much cheaper than dinner and a movie, but it will also shine a spotlight on our the RC Family Resource Center and TRAC program and help generate awareness to the abundance of services and
programs that we provide. As the economy continues to drastically affect the community, the needs of our residents are still apparent. To be able to provide families with hope and to give community youth a positive outlet means at lot to so many people. Events like the 2nd Annual BUNCO Fundraiser allow us the ability to do that.”
