John’s Incredible Pizza Company
All You Can Eat Food and Fun!

Memorial Day is kind of the unofficial start of Summer, and my favorite 3-day weekend of the year because it’s also right around my birthday.  So with holidays, birthdays and Summer on the mind, it’s time to start thinking about what to do for Memorial Day and beyond.

The obvious stuff is grilling outside while the kids play games and everyone enjoys the sunny warm weather.  That takes care of Monday but what about the other days?  What’s a single place that can keep everyone happy from young to old?

We found the perfect setup in Riverside at John’s Incredible Pizza Co.  The first thing you need to know is that John’s is much more than pizza and it’s hardly the pizza shop around the corner that you’re accustomed to.  In fact, just in terms of size, it’s probably 50x the size of any normal pizza shop but the differences don’t stop there.

John’s offers an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes salad, pasta, pizza (of course) and even dessert bar should you somehow still be hungry after all of that.  Drinks are also all-you-can-drink but that comes at a small additional charge.  If you need to wind down, you can have a couple of drinks but that’s the max and you’ll be charged for each, still a great deal.

Now with food out of the way we can discuss the fun.  John’s incorporates a complete amusement-style theme park just opposite the food.  You’ll encounter bumper cars, the twister, ticket-dispensing games and more.  The rides are great and will keep the kids and adults happy just the same.

We’ve found John’s to be the “do it all” fun place and we really like it because it’s indoors, a nice break from the heat, wind, cold and everything else we get in southern California.

This Memorial Day and even this Summer for the kids, should it be a birthday or just a fun break, we recommend John’s Incredible Pizza in Riverside.

Is there a scar with the Bosley procedure?

A common question about the Bosley hair restoration procedure is whether or not there is a scar and if there is, how much of a scar?

This question along with other common questions are answered below.

What is a hair transplant?

This is a procedure where we take hair from where you have more than you need and artistically place it where you need more.  This procedure takes donor dominant (DHT resistant) hair follicles and transplants them into thinning or balding areas.

How long will my hair transplant last?

Virtually all transplanted hair lasts a lifetime for the vast majority of patients.  In some cases a very small percentage of transplanted hair can be lost as the patient ages.

Is there any scarring?

Any time human skin is cut it will always need to heal.  This process is called fibrosis, more commonly known as scarring is how the skin heals.  Given the skill and experience of our physicians the healing sites are usually so small that they are virtually undetectable.  Furthermore, the thin and fine scar from the donor area is covered by the existing hair.

How many procedures are necessary for a hair restoration procedure?

This varies from person to person and is dependent upon a personal desired goal.  The great majority of patients have at least two hair restoration procedures.

Some of the hair transplants I’ve seen don’t look natural.  Why is this?

If you see a recently completed hair restoration that does not look natural it’s likely because it’s a bad hair transplant.

Bosley hair transplants are virtually undetectable because they are so natural-looking.  We’ve discussed in our multi-part series that follicular units grow in groupings of 1-4 hairs typically.  These groupings of hairs are randomly placed in hand-done recipient sites.  The emphasis at Bosley is to try to duplicate nature.  The microtechnologies used have been refined to a point where often even other medical doctors are unable to differentiate between natural hairs that are original and those that have been transplanted.

Do you do hair transplants on women?

Current estimates at Bosley are that 20 million American women are experiencing some level of female pattern hair loss.

Dr. Bosley says ”The great majority of women with typical female pattern hair loss can be helped significantly,”.  Women can lose their hair in a pattern different from men but the treatment for both is similar.

As in men, the doctor locates a donor area with sufficient healthy hair.  Dr. Bosley states ”Women usually have a similar donor area to men. This means they have enough supply to fulfill the demand, so the results are usually very good.”

Thanksgiving and Holiday Fun in Riverside CA

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just about here.  My husband and I were just remarking on howit doesn’t seem possible that it’s this week.  But, it is, and we’re doing Thanksgiving at our house for the first

time!  I find it easier to manage hosting an event by creating a simple checklist of things that need to be done during the week so I can focus on the necessities on the day of.  http://www.rd.com/advice-and-know-how/thanksgiving-checklist/article13716.html.  It’s also great to get your guests involved, too.  Family and friends always enjoy bringing something they would like to share, so don’t be afraid to ask.

I have some special dishes I plan to prepare this Thanksgiving.  Over the years I’ve collected a few recipes from friends, cookbooks and the internet.  The internet is such a great resource for delicious new recipes, and Thanksgiving has inspired many that you’ll want to try out.  One year I found a delicious recipe for Winter Vegetable Potage, and this soup has become my regular contribution to the Thanksgiving feast.  It’s also something that can be made a day or two in advance, which frees up some time!  Some other Thanksgiving side dishes we’ll be making are pan-sautéed brussel sprouts and oven-baked yam fries.  My husband makes a delicious cranberry and walnut jello with pineapple cream topping, and there’s a recipe for a berry crisp I just tasted at a Thanksgiving Potluck playdate with the kids that I’m dying to try out!!

The task of baking the turkey is a little daunting for me, though.  Being my first Thanksgiving that I’m hosting, I want to make sure everyone enjoys the food, and I think cooking the bird will add a bit too much stress for me.  I’d be afraid of it being too dry, or taking much longer than I had expected.  Instead, we’ve opted to order our turkey from Lucille’s BBQ.  My husband and I love dining there, and figured it would be a real hit with our guests, too.  I love finding ways to make life simpler and reduce stress, and this is a big one for me!

For this very reason, some families have decided to shake things up a bit and veer from the more traditional celebration of Thanksgiving.  Making sure the house is clean and tidy, the kids are well-behaved and nicely dressed, and the meal is delicious and perfectly time are monumental undertakings.  Instead, some families are getting out and finding togetherness time in less traditional ways.  For example, a friend of mine is going camping with her family at Calico Ghost Town.  She knows there will be plenty of fun things to do with the kids there, and is excited to start a new tradition with her family.  They will be creating lasting memories as a family and she will get to participate with her family instead of worrying about getting everything together for a big event at home.

You don’t need to go far to have a fun outing.  One place that will have everything you need for a recipe for fun under one roof is John’s Incredible Pizza Co.  There is enough food and plenty of games to keep you satisfied and having a great time all day long.  And the best part – no set up, cleaning or worrying involved!  You can even sign up on their email club and receive special promotions, including a money saving coupon for discounts on your Thanksgiving Day visit.

Here are the top reasons we love John’s Incredible Pizza!:

The Food:  We’ll say this is the best food set up for kids and adults anywhere.  John’s offers and all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, pasta, salad and desserts.  For each category they offer many toppings, flavors, combinations and choices.  The kitchen is constantly bringing out hot pizza while replenishing the salad and pasta bar.  Beverages are all-you-can-drink with an additional cost of $1-2.

The Fun:  John’s is unique in that it is completely indoors but offers the fun of outdoor style rides and things to do.  Our two favorite traditional rides are the twister and the bumper cars.  We mix up the ride fun by playing video and other games.  The great part is when the kids get hungry from all the play, you just walk back over to the food side and fill up again.  This is one reason why John’s is perfect as an all-day activity for the kids.

A Break for the Parents:  John’s is a very active environment, but they still offer quiet seating for dining in their multiple themed rooms.  The themes range from cartoons to music videos and one with a more log cabin feel, which is intended to be the most quiet of the bunch.  They also offer beer and wine with a 2 drink limit.

If you’ve never been to a John’s it’s probably hard to imagine what it looks like inside.  You can go here and take a look.
